Resins that would typically not be blended well together or with fillers, can be made to be compatible through the use of a small amount of a particular additive. Kimia Javid Sepahan functionalized polymer resins (Kimcross) are chemically modified polymers with low VOC content that have been produced by reactive extrusion. Due to their reactivity, they improve the interfacial adhesion between filler-polymer and polymer-polymer, So that they are used in numerous applications such as coupling agents, compatibilizers, impact modifiers, tie-layer adhesive resins, metal adhesion promoters, flow modifiers and chain extender for polymer compounds, blends and alloys. The functionalized resins are based on LLDPE, HDPE, PP, POE, EVA and ABS.
